Loom House

bainbridge island, WA

Certified by the Living Building Challenge, Loom House is one of the most sustainable homes in the world—a sanctuary where elegance and environmental integrity go hand in hand. Charlie collaborated with longtime clients to create a restorative space rooted in nature and wellbeing. That vision meant eliminating the Living Building Challenge’s “Red List”—800 harmful chemicals commonly found in building materials—from every element of the design. The process was time-intensive but deeply rewarding. In many cases, Charlie worked directly with fabricators to make lasting changes that benefit both the homeowner and the maker. The result is a home that nurtures health, radiates quiet luxury, and inspires a broader conversation—proving sustainability can be as beautiful as it is impactful.
