Lake Reflection House

Seattle, WA

Originally designed by Tom Kundig in 2009 for prominent art collectors, this modern home offered brilliant gallery spaces and striking views of Lake Washington. When new owners arrived—with furniture from their former Tudor home and a love of art—they turned to Charlie for guidance. Her design focused on two themes: revealing the home’s connection to nature and helping the clients cultivate their own art collection. A highlight is a custom murphy desk crafted from aluminum art by Eric Breish—part workspace, part sculptural moment. As an artist herself, Charlie deeply valued the process of guiding their selections, helping them explore color, scale, and proportion. The result is a space that feels personal, balanced, and full of possibility.
