Northwest Work Lofts

Seattle, WA

The Charlie Hellstern studio is both a reflection of the firm’s ethos and a foundation for what’s to come. Set in a light-filled, century-old loft, the space embraces its patina while introducing refined, intentional details. Charlie collaborated with Peter Ward to craft custom furniture, including a striking blackened steel and reclaimed fir bookcase that anchors the office and showcases a rotating display of books and beautiful objects. A marble-topped, wheeled table and layered sheer window panels offer beauty and flexibility. Personal touches—like ten portraits of pioneering women in the kitchen—imbue the space with inspiration and meaning. The result is a thoughtfully designed, functional studio that supports creativity, collaboration, and the daily rhythm of a flourishing team.
