Cloud View

Seattle, WA

Perched twenty-six floors above Seattle, this pied-à-terre offers a soaring counterpoint to our clients’ primary residence—a modern tree house nestled in the woods of Orcas Island. Inspired by that connection to nature, Charlie considered how this city retreat could respond to its own unique setting—surrounding towers and Puget Sound’s shifting marine layer. After reworking the layout for flow and function, she layered in thoughtful materials: dark bathroom finishes that recede from view yet exude allure, moody flooring that anchors the light-filled space, and a soft metallic wall that balances the natural light. The result is a compact yet elevated haven, rich with artisan detail and emotional resonance. Floating high above the city, this “cloud house” invites reflection, serenity, and an ever-present sense of wonder.
